grrrrrrrr HAIL now. Not impressed. So much for that show.Just hope that my seed heads are ok, now that my dahlias are being attacked with ice bullets. ggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (But at least we've not been flooded again... yet)

They are supposed to look like this, Downham Royals are one of those dahlias that looks very different in photos depending on the light. It's a dark purple.

I have the same problem when I take pic's of mine with the blooms they never come out right. called down to the allotment today to squeeze all the seed heads, that's a messy job.

I really like your siamese twin dahlia ML, it's fab! One of my trial snap dragons has faciation on one stem...i like oddities like that

Not yet been down to the garden to the dahlias but the seed heads on the plants in big pots are actually dry. Wonder if that is a good sign or not? It rained when I was at work yesterday but I don't know if it rained here or not.

How do you think it was supported? You don't get many canes that big? I think there was some ties to the wall using string or wire but not too sure. This was a long time ago remember. If it was me I would either knock in some vine eyes or drill and plug snd use screw in vine eyes.
