Had a 'bonza' thunderstorm last night with torrential rain so that has seen off the snow. This morning was bright and sunny, though windy, so managed an hour on the allotment. Got back home just before more thunder and torrential rain. Wonder what other samples the weather controller will unleash in January. A mini heatwave would be nice, lol.

Very similar here, we had a very sudden strong wind/rain storm in the early hours which even set off some of the car alarms in the street! Sunshine & cold wind most of the day & brief heavy rain again this evening.

rain and gales Saturday night, but yesterday was mostly sunny although windy with just one heavy burst of hail late afternoon

Nearly 9 deg here and stayed warm all night. I am pleased about this, because we have run out of heating oil. The visible measure on the outside of the tank must be giving the wrong reading as it shows 1/4 tank remaining. Winter is such fun!
