Hi mattolo, methinks you will need a machete to get to your greenhouse ;D I think too that you are a fan of Chiltern Seeds If you want to grow so much non hardy plants you will have to move to Cornwall or where I am in South Wales though even here we lost a good few plants that had been around for many years. Ayrshire in Scotland is another mild area.

I am seriously thinking of getting a machete ;D You are right about chiltern seeds too.Just ordered some bronze leave tropicana cannas from them. Also they used some of my eucalyptus pictures and mandevilla photos! I would love to move if only to get away from my awful neighbours. One advantage/disadvantage to living in Kent is that it doesn't usually rain excessively.(sometimes I wish it would)

These were the first cannas I grew a few years back.I still have them. pictures 007 by smifter2012, on Flickr I recently did a search to "re-identify" them as they aren't the usual large flowered hybrid type. I believe them to be close to the species Canna indica type. Great colour! pictures 063 by smifter2012, on Flickr

Never had much success with canna seeds myself. Do you give the seeds any special treatment prior to sowing?
