I've taken cutting of variegated geraniums:
I have 3 more plants in the bedroom windowsill that need cutting back as well & as I hate t throw plant material away I will have another 8-10 cutting in a few days time! (No idea what I'm going to do with them though!) 🤔

the closest to gardening was standing out front waiting for the goodbye waves and pulled a few weeds out

Compost heap turned over. Baby Paeony molly moved to the frame. Dug out more celandines and Arums.

Started clearing the dead stems from pond plants and took out 75% of the water mint as it tends to take over if you don't keep an eye on it.
Also sowed the runner bean seeds and took cuttings of the Aeonium [?] that was in Victoria's wedding table decorations. I kept 2 and they have produced lots of side stems. now have 10 cuttings.

Gave a wake up call to a few overwintered Dahlias yesterday, a few of the others have developed quite strong growth so checked the others over and all seemed to be OK.
I hope to get these ones into a permanent home in the borders alongside all the other ones, I find it much easier leaving them in the ground and so far we've never lost one.

spent the morning in the greenhouse, took all the bubble wrap down moved plants around We're debating whether or not to remove our bubble wrap too. Knowing our luck we'd probably get a frost if we did. The greenhouse is getting very overcrowded now and if it was removed I could definitely organise the pots better......decisions, decisions!

Not been able to get out either today! Spent all morning cooking what was salvageable from the defrosting event of our under the counter freezer!

I've taken a chance jellibeans I need to give it some attention so the bubblewrap was in the way, there's not too much in the way of tender plants mostly young perennials so I'm hoping they will be ok if we get any cold snap

Another day without being able to go outside onto the balcony! It rained a fair bit during the morning & then, unexpectedly, my brother messaged me to tell he was on the bus to our place! Just as well we had food cooked from yesterday or it would have been closer to tea time before he got a meal! So no balcony in the afternoon either! I gave him a couple of variegated Geraniums cutting that were in small pots but hadn't rooted yet to take back home!

I think all the variegated Geranium 'Chocolate' cutting I put in pots a couple of weeks ago have all died! Yet the cuttings of the variegated Geranium 'Madame Salleron' show no signs of dying but I don't know if any of them have rooted yet.

That's a shame balc2 spent the morning potting up summer bulbs, most of which will go to our garden club plant sale

Ventured up a stepladder in the wind on the patio to tie in & trim some of the wisteria & clematis growing over the pergola. We've got a window company coming on Monday to replace some of the double glazed glass units which have 'blown' so they'll probably have to thread ladders up between the stems! 😁
