Well done, grindle! 👏 As we were out most of the day yesterday, at the eye clinic in another town where my wife had an appointment, I wasn't able to do more than water the hanging baskets and a couple of pots I missed out on Sunday evening. Today I will be going to our son's house to do some watering while he & his family are away on holiday. I watered on Sunday morning but with the heat everything will need watering again. Though he has a garden he grows everything in pots.

Compost bin is empty, put 4 bags of it in neighbours bins. So, chose the hottest day to dig out a huge Fuschia magellanica alba. Actually rather easier than it could have been. Still need to shred the stuff, but it can dry of a bit first.

Remember I am Australian balc2, so I speak Australian and English, Scottish too. Steven came straight from the World Pipe Band Championship to here, so his pipes are with him and he plays chanter and pipes every day..

You are a multi-linguist, Cherry 😂😂 I only speak Spanish and English! In fact more Spanish than English most of the time! Generally I have no one else to talk to but my wife and we have always spoken Spanish when we are alone but English if we are together with people who don't understand Spanish. Yesterday I watered our son's plants but I forgot to water my own on the balcony! 🙄 Fortunately they had had a good soaking on Tuesday. I will have to give them a good soak today as well.

Can you speak Scottish Gaelic and an indigenous Australian language Cherry ? or do you mean you speak the Australian and Scottish varieties of English ?
My first and preferred language is Cymraeg (Welsh) , I only speak English when I have to.
I haven't done much in the garden for ages ...

Shredded the Fuchsia and cut down a huge Cornus sanguinea. Will shred that tomorrow. Otherwise, water, weeded and wandered again.

I fed all the plants on the balcony yesterday morning which took at least an hour. Didn't do anything else but I want to repot the 3 tomato plants in a shallow pot into the bag of compost, like I did a week ago with 2 other shallow pots of tomatoes.
In the early evening I went to our son's house again and watered all his pots. I won't need to go up again, if we have the heavy showers forecast for today, otherwise I will go up again tomorrow morning. He returns home in the afternoon so for a few weeks I won't have to do them anymore.

As I didn't do it yesterday nor did I get around to doing it today so when I went out to water the plants (4pm!) they were terribly wilted! 😲 I must do it tomorrow or I'll lose them! The stress may be too much for them to overcome! Yesterday's watering with fertilizer for tomatoes wasn't enough! I found a few more plants in a similar condition! 😲 But even the toms in the bag of compost that I laid down on the balcony floor were wilted & I thought I'd given them a good soaking yesterday! 😲
