Went out in my waterproofs & emptied & replanted 2 more hanging baskets by the side door with the same selection of bulbs & plants as the others. I was a bit late putting out the bird, fox & hedgehog food last night & when I went out at 6.30pm one of the hedgehogs was already sitting there staring at the empty food tray so I had to hurry up & fill it!

went to the other garden in the afternoon and started emptying all the pots of weeds, also cleared loads of bindweed that was under the bark mulch and started trimming back the rampant clematis

Emptied 2 more hanging baskets along the side of the house & relined & replanted them the same as the others. I put the hedgehog food out at 5.30pm last night & a couple of minutes after I came back inside I looked out & there was the hedgehog tucking in - he must have been hiding in the border waiting! Pic. I took of him last night 5.50ish, poor light as it was getting towards dusk & taken on zoom through window.

I wonder where my little hedge is ? One of the neighbours tell me there are two now. I might try and put the camera out to see if there are about.
I sowed loads of sweet pea in pots in the greenhouse, also some violas, pansy's and senshyu onions ( rather late for these ) I also pricked out wall flowers, pansy's ,lavender and Veronica. My beetroots don't do well the two I picked were only about the size of a 10p and went into the compost bin but I pulled some celery which is in my slow cooker atm with my onions for a soup.

The hedgehog was back here last night at 6.30pm & I'd cleaned the trays & filled them ready for him so he was happy I think! Emptied & replanted a hanging basket on the front of the garage in between showers.

no chance of anything outside yesterday. I opened the back door this morning early to let Dylan out and saw a young hedgehog about to go out under the gate

fished a load of leaves out of the pond and raked up what was on the grass and put in the leaf bin. I've noticed that the pond liner is starting to disintegrate round the top edges, so it looks like a relining job, they say this is the best time to do it

I've looked and found a reasonable price liner, but I'm now thinking that I'm going to wait until the weather is more condusive, I really don't fancy it now Had a tidy up in the greenhouse, the Pak Choi and carrots I sowed are coming up, it's going to be interesting to see if they produce anything worth while

I don't blame you grindle, I won't be doing much in the garden now it's too cold and dark and the place is soaking.

Raked up another load of leaves and ran over with lawnmower to shred them. A bit wet but did the job.
