Still digging out serious nettles at White House Farm and have uncovered lots of Hemerocallis from my Hemerocallis craze. Son sawed down serious straight stems on the Corylus avellana contorta which had reached 12 ft high. These will make the straight boards for a fence or bridge over the drainage watercourses. Another hazel produced stems for bean poles and another needs coppicing. It is in some ways sad for me, but it is great to see the garden progressing.

Love your green house ladybird where did you get that tiny table from thats sitting in the entrance ?? I bought it from Asda "George home" during a sale in 2018 @ lesley . it was called "Miami" 3 piece bistro set and was reduced reduced from £45 to £27. Made of galvanized steel and hopefully wont rust easy, both chairs and table fold down and the small low table is perfect for small areas, in fact I bought a second one for an intended secret area but my daughter "borrowed" it last summer. I see Asda now do a 4 chair set Miami set with square table and parasol for £119.

I sowed some peas, and started to clear the patio of pots etc, because I'm going to have the decking changed for slabs and I think (hope!) they'll be starting it soon.

Sounds like you have plenty of work to do Cherry and I can imagine your sadness as you put a lot of work in there over the years. Enjoy it now.

Dead-headed daffs., topped up the pond with 6 watering cans of water from the water butt, watered all the baskets & inside the greenhouse & threw away the plants from in there which didn't survive the winter into the compost.

I sowed Raddishes ( a few different varieties), purple top turnips, Little Gem lettuces, into my raised bed, also sowed Sweet Peas in plugs (a bit late but they'll catch up) and some other annuals - Heliotrope, Lobelia, Cleome, Rudbeckia, Coleus, Livingstone Daisies, Ipomoea, Dwarf Annual Phlox, and herbs, Basil, Thyme, Dill, Put them all in the propagators. Still a few packs of things to sow soon ...
I will have to buy seeds of carrots, parsnips and spring onions because I discovered I haven't got any. And Allysum ...
I watered all my Fuchsias in the cold frames and some of the succulents. I was going to water my cacti but forgot and now my back is too bad to do it lol so tomorrow will have to do

It could have been a 'Zoom' call grindle so your cleaning would have come in handy then! I planted out the new saxifraga & veronica plants in the alpine sink & cut down the huge dead rosemary plant in the front garden but I couldn't get all the root out so haven't planted the space up yet.

I laughed loudly at that grindle. I should not laugh at your husband’s expense, but that was so funny. I sowed some lettuce and rocket yesterday, among other things and surprise, surprise, these two have germinated already.

I sowed some more annuals and took cuttings of Penstemons and Pelargoniums. I started tidying my cacti on the shelves. Maybe I'll finish it tomorrow.
