We've lost some really lovely potato varieties, over the years, and gained tasteless ones like Marfona. Their only positive attribute is an even size for the supermarket-orientated baking potato pack!

My two rows of Abbot are just peeking through and will get a first earth-up this week.

There is an information entry for the Druid potato in the Potato Council database here .

I keep seeing its footprints in Google... but its always "not in stock" or "404: page missing" when you click on the link.

I shall make it my purpose in life to track down this spud !

Have bought Saxon.... and totally agree with you rosie

I grew the Sarpo Miro three summers ago, and they were narrow potatoes of a small size... nothing like the brochure blurb.

I doubt you will find it roofy, I just save around 20 healthy tubers from my crop. BUT if you do find it give me a shout
