very impressive Steve. I wish I could manage something of that sort. meanwhile the next big thing up there is comet ISON. Faint at present it is highly predicted to become the comet of the century although that remains to be seen.(remember Kohoutek?) Should be visible in binoculars by the end of the month and being close to mars in the constellation Cancer. Mars will actually pass through the beehive cluster so should be an opportunity for pics for those with the equipment. Jupiter & Mars are early morning objects but being so bright they are easily noticeable.

That looks a great observatory Fractal I will be keeping an eye out for the comet sweetpea. I recall watching one when in lived in Udny green in the 90's i think.
