I am going to try and save time and keep my updates short and let the photos tell the story rather than type what I would say.
So - I wanted to add a Clearview update:
Taken 29th May - quite a bit late on this update but I did get distracted with my 2 little surprises.
Candy Jayne, Clearview Audrey and Clearview Jenny. Jenny and Jayne are variegated.

I have lots of plants, yelling at me to put them into bigger pots but I've not been able to mainly because I don't have big pots.
Went to a 'real' plant Nursery (i.e. not Homebase or B&Q) but the only pots that we could find were expensive glazed and terracotta pots. Just wanted some nice big(ger) plastic pots but they didn't have any but they did do a fab breakfast. So went to local Horticultural shop and bought some there...
spent ages picking which to have (HH is very good to me) (but he and the 2 men serving did have a good time, laughing at me). Humphf. Not moaning, he paid. One of the men mentioned, that big pots will need filling and quite a lot of filling.
Penny dropped and we ended up with 3 bags of compost.
I do like it in there. They are funny, very kind and tolerant of the girls well actually, round the other way, they are very tolerant of me and kind to the girls (Who love going).
Interestingly, my memories of going with my Dad when I was little, was that I loved going out with my Dad but I didn't really like the smell. Can't explain it any better than that.
Didn't really have time to do some serious potting up because it really was a dash from 1 children event, to another, to another but that's ok - I've got the pots. That's the main thing because I can't drive, I am a tad dependent on loved ones that can and I am very greatful that I do. More potting up on the 31st including HH helping move the girls potatoes out from the greenhouse. Retrospectively I wish that I hadn't asked him - (n.b. Nothing that HH has done, more what happened to the potatoes next )
erm, also the area on the right infront of the greenhouse, (lots of last years debris )I'm going to grow some dahlias there once we have cleared it and sprayed it.

Had a phone call from my Mum, the next day. Dad very worried about the weather turning bad so he was on his way with rotavator to come and do it for me. Cue mad panic trying to clear my dahlia patch.
Dad came, with Rotavator, filled it with petrol, tried to get it going. No Tried again. No Tried again No..... No.... etc. Dad left it for a bit, had an ice cream with the girls. Tried again.
NO
Dad took it home in disgrace. Lots of mutterings about scrap metal, piece of junk and useless American engines.... (use your imagination)
Not all bad, Dad took home his Eastwood Star and another 1 of my Brenda T's because he had an extra space for another........
Both Dad and I v. worried that I'm not going to get mine planted. n.b. Dad's rotavator isn't the one that he used on his garden, friend has 1 of those turbo high powered industry type. Too big and powerful for my little patch.

Got a call on from Mum this Sunday, Dad tried his rotavator again at home and this time it worked - so he is on his way, as she spoke. The weather had been forcaster for heavy rain and just before he arrived, the clouds were black and there was a rumble of thunder...
I opened the door. Tell me you are not planning on starting now Dad?
A little bit of rain wasn't going to stop my Dad but
It was not a bit of rain, it absolutely pelted it with rain.
(HH what is it with you and your family and gardening in the pouring rain??)
But he did it and I decided to lift up the slabs of my path to make it easier to rotavate. sniff sniff, I was so proud of my path but it was the best thing to do and Pirate had informed me that 1 of the slabs was a bit wobbly. (cue indignant sniff)

I put out some of my pots in position ish
But what I really wanted to do was to plant my Downham Royal tuber. I had a little helper: "Let me do the digging Mummy"
"I am good at digging Mummy" "I am good at digging Mummy, arn't I?" Yes my Love you are very good at digging. Can I have a go now?...
but my emergancy priority was my Downham Royal tuber, that 1 of the 3 that I had dug up. I had ended up putting it top of a deep layer of vermicullite because I didn't want the roots to go down deep. So it had a layer of compost and it worked. The roots hadn't gone deep. So Pirate and I had to gently rub off as much as we could and I needed to make a hole. A hole and fast, now that the plant was out.

I realised that digging in cloggs wasn't my best ever idea, so I sent Pirate up to the house to get my Purple Wellies... erm Mummy, why have you got 1 wellie on and 1 clog on the other foot?
erm, because I am either mad or just rushing to get the hole dug and the Downham Royal in. I didn't like having it on it's side even with Pirate holding her up.

In position
and all tucked in. Looking good considering I almost killed it by over watering it.
Just a case of wait and see.
More to add but have to stop there. I'll grab some more time later.
Well I did say that I had quite a lot of news and updates to do.
