I've been through a lot of forums and sites about lawn sweepers and I can say that the opinions are quite diferent from person to person. Some claim that it is a wonderful thing, and others that it's not good at all in doing its job. I'm very interested to get to the bottom of this, 'cause I decided to buy one for my lawn and... well, I'm not 23 years old any more So, I would like to ask if maybe someonee of you uses lawn sweeper and what's the verdict from your point of view? I have this Agri-Fab 44 lawn sweeper in my mind, and if someone familiar with it could share what's its performace like, it would mean a lot. Also, if anyone has any other suggestions, they're more than welcome

Always used a birch besom broom and I won't see 23 anymore either. the only reason I have found for sweeping a lawn is to clear away wormcasts and wet after frost/dew prior to cutting and that was only when I did it for a living. As for worm casts, get rid of the worms and you won't get casts. for the second reason, let it dry naturally and again no need to sweep. For leaves use a leaf rake or blower/vac so the question remains, why use a sweeper in the first place? not really an essential piece of kit IMHO.

I can't be honest about this unnecessary piece of kit. It would sound rather rude. However, I do enjoy gardening.

My lawnmower does anything that a sweeper can do ie pick up leaves, moss etc. and shred into the bargain.
