I think my yard is just too small, but I will keep my two compost bins for when we move then I'll be able to get stuck into composting again. I need to think of a way to keep our pup away from chewing my plants, I've half a goji left and he's attacked my gooseberry and raspberry plants too. He does understand 'ah-ah' means 'don't you dare' lol so every time I see him go near my pots I say 'ah-ah' with the hope it sinks in.

It will work eventually, and I think he is a quick learner.

well 4 years on and Dylan finally stopped thanks for that
He is definitely learning, we're down to him gnawing off one piece a day now. I say this with caution however as I am in work and unsure what I will go home to.

I am pleased to report, yesterday there were no signs of any more pooing in my raspberries or gnawing of any of my plants or pulling the padding out of Harry's bed so Bob is definitely learning he is very well settled, still mental, but settled none the less. He looks at me with dopy tired eyes round 9pm wanting lifted and cuddled, he lies in the crook of my arm and puts his paw in my hand to hold, that's him till bedtime, such a wee dote of a pup.
My toe is now well on the mend, definitely on the right side of things, still a wee bit sore and still fairly tender with the odd shooting pain up my leg from it but only minimal now thankfully. Though OH text me yesterday from work to say he was in hospital getting his finger x-rayed lol he was told he's slightly fractured his finger lol so he was sent home with his two fingers taped together like my toes lol - such a goat! lol
So now I'm hobbling about a lot less I went out last night and gave everything a good watering, I saw a few weeds which will need pulled, I didn't take time last night as I didn't want to push things by standing too long. I was shocked at the growth in the greenhouse so chuffed, well mainly chuffed, some things are showing no signs but most of my babies are now fully fledged toddlers Here's some photos as promised...
All of this needs sorted. The fuchsia needs put in the greenhouse. There's alpine strawberries in the 2 wall planters. Salad leaves and radishes in the boxes on the shelves mainly. But I think it all needs double checked and re-thinked.
Spuds on the summer seat, all planted at different times. I've more to do, about another 3-4 bags I think, though I dunno where I'm gonna put them lol The bottom layer of strawberries in the black hanging basket will be transplanted elsewhere as they look fairly bleak in there at the moment
You can see the stuffing lying all over the place that Bob pulled out of Harry's bed rascal!
Love this pic
Greenhouse has pretty much taken off, lots growing, a lot of my babies are now toddlers lol. I am getting more shelves for the back of it to get the fuchsia, cosmos and tomatoes in it, the tomatoes are in my shed but would like them in the greenhouse as soon as possible, the geraniums have come on well, quite chuffed with them, I love the smell of them and the leaves are stunning. It was absolutely chucking down last night when I took these so they are very blurry. I will take better ones in a few weeks time when there's even more growth.
So, what do you all think? be honest

......... Also you'll notice a 2L bottle on the floor of the greenhouse, I punched holes in the lid of it to water wee bits and bobs in the greenhouse, it works better than even a small watering can. GENIUS I'm going to try that one myself !! Just wondering how you faired out trying this? Did it work for you, I find it works great, as I keep the bottle in the greenhouse so it keeps the water warmish for the seedlings rather than freezing cold out of the tap

My friend gave me a Chinese tub of mixed seeds from her garden, I think there's laburnum, marigold and cordyline but unsure what else, I need space in my greenhouse to be able to plant those seeds to see what's what it will be quite exciting

Thanks Cherry, those kind of comments mean a lot to me, I'm still only a newbie, this is only my second year at this and I've so much to learn. But like you say most look fairly healthy so I'm quite happy all in all
