I cannot abide whisky OR whiskey Roofus. A glass of ice cold cider goes down well though. As for tea, I like it with no milk, no sugar and not too strong, thank you.

Well I got my Xhose connected up at the weekend, so far so good. That's all I got done as it was our son's 18th birthday and we'd a surprise party for him, went really well, then we gallivanted all weekend so got nothing else done. Been up this morning from 6am doing the dreaded housework so I can go home and hopefully do a little something gardening related when I get home.

Me neither Dai, it's vile stuff which is ironic seeing I live near the whisky capital of Dufftown, at one time it had 9 working distilleries, I think it's 7 now, Glenfiddich is made about 1/2 a mile from where we live. And I have my tea exactly the same way you do

rosie , so far I can't fault it. So lightweight, perfect. Going to be heaps handier when we get a tap at the front, just move the hose from one to the other hassle free. It will definitely simplify things.

I hadn't heard about that KC but it says on the link you've put 'in stores 29th February' so not long to wait. They probably won't be very long-lasting items but for £1 it's worth a try, I've had some secateurs in the past from Lidl for around £1.80 & they have lasted well & work well for light pruning.

Thanks SueA According to Charlie Dimmock she has supposedly tried and tested the products for quality... time will tell, like you say I'd be thinking for £1 it's worth a try. In fairness I get my secateurs, plant labels (though went to eBay this time), hand tools, tomato feed, soil scoops etc from there, I've even got some bare root roses, shrubs, bulbs and fruit out of there too which have been spot on. SO I guess fingers crossed I think I got most of my hanging baskets from there too. Goodness I'm going to have to hoke them out and get organised for spring time. I must get compost asap. Note to self lol

I'd not heard of it either, but it's worth a look, they do a Jane Asher range of kitchenware which seems fine so certain garden items probably will be too
