No both my parents grew up with coal fires my dad is 6ft and my mum is 4ft 5. Only thing that worreys me is the extra cleaning and that i have to hoover the wall over the fire everyday  . |

Ours is enclosed - it's a woodburner, so it doesn't make dust, thank goodness! |

Should i worry about the stunt in the dogs growth  .  Ours in enclosed but smoke and dust flys out when we need to top it up, its a mare . |

Oh nooooooo. I'll have lots of the little ones though, a breeder i know had 21 Chihuahua's at one point imagine that. |

I can vaguely remember my dad boiling a kettle on a stand on a coal fire....I am only 3'6"  |

Not to mention the dustpan with newspaper over it method to draw the flames up!!! what would health and safety say today ;D
