As Di says, you can see Basking Sharks if you are lucky. "Lucky" ? Methinks that depends on the context ? Seeing a basking shark close-up from a viewing boat is lucky. Seeing a basking shark close-up if you're swimming or surfing.... hmmm... possibly less so ? Thrilling, no doubt. Exciting certainly. But not necessarily lucky !

Basking sharks are harmless roofie unless they decide to sit on you! Newquay is a v. nice village and popular with the tourists. You can sit near the beach anywhere in Pembrokeshire and with luck you will see whales, dolphins big jellyfish, all sorts and underwater there are seahorses, turtles, and all sorts of creatures.

It sounds amazing, sweetpea and dianthus. I have a deckchair on the Roofgarden... but all I can see are wood pigeons. And bricks.

Skomer is brilliant, isn't it, sweetpea ?
Not so sure about the island with the smelly gannets, though
