Hope you have a good trip sweetpea & manage some quality time with your sister. P.S. Be careful where you go, you might bump into someone who still remembers you from your last trip! I can imagine Jim, strolling through Kings Cross, doing the site seeing thing, then he hears someone shout " Oy, DAD,".lol

Doubt I'd be allowed on the plane these days with a spear.

You said you are going via Singapore. You are lucky sweetpea. My QANTAS flight took me to Sydney via Dubhais, which I really dislike. Singapore is my favourite airport. Yes, the Qantas flight was changed to BA Cherry not that I will see much of Singers being only a 1.45hr refuelling stop. Not that it matters as I had three years of Singapore back in the day.

I hope it is easy for her and you. Take care Jim.

Well folks I am off to Australia next month. No need to put the flags out as I will be back after a few weeks. Got my ticket and fly out on 17th May, back on 12/13th June. i should still be able to look in and keep an eye on that daitheplant Stop in Singapore for refuelling (the plane not me) Been a long time since I was in Sydney, 1964 in fact so should see some changes. I will think of you all while having a barbie but not a lot Been out there weeding in the garden and no doubt it will be like a jungle when I get back as Maureen prefers to sit on the patio instead of weeding. (She's not going, just me) Good luck for your trip, sweetpea My condolences.
btw, I'm NOT near enough to pop over night and morning, to look after all the plants!

Had a phone call from an old oppo of mine to tell me that another old squaddie has the same as my sister and not expected to last the week. Makes me think how lucky I was to have survived when I had it back in 1978 or79 I can never remember dates. Thanks for all the kind words btw.

Oh dear, thats not good news sweetpea We're glad your still around Funny story about my mate who told me the above. he collapsed out cold and woke up in hospital. Don't recall what the problem was but when he woke up he thought he was in the morgue. The three beds besides his were occupied by three bodies covered in white sheets. What it was apparently were three old dears who had been draped in the sheets as it was very hot and these were instead of the usual bedding. He is a retired ambulance driver and should have known better. But did make I laugh.

Have a safe trip sweetpea. I'm sorry the circumstances are not good, although I didn't realise that until I read it in some of the comments.
