This big fella came in for a trip around the lampshades and curtains the other night. The cats got very excited, but I can't say I'm so keen on having one of these bombing around. It had some cool zig-zag black and white stripes going up the sides, which you can sort of see through the plastic pot we caught him in. Wot is it?

It does have a might fine 'tache - I wonder if it's a him or a her?! Thanks I will have a read about them. I lived on a farm miles from anywhere for ages, and never saw anything like it - then I move into town and get all sorts of massive bugs!

Apparently these 'Large Emerald' moths aren't terribly rare, but I've never seen one before - Showed up well in our white bathroom! Aren't they lovely? Quite big too.

Indeed Cherry, lovely moth. I have seen one once before (a few years ago) and had to look it up to be sure what type it was.
