As you probaby know I like to grow things from seeds well I have had no luck from any bought seed of talictrum , tirella, rogeria or meadow sweet over many years and many sowings. Of course the failure might be due to my sowing methods but I like to blame the seed So I was wondering if any one here on the forum grows any of the above plants, would you be so kind as to save some seed for me. ( I will gladly send a SAE for any seeds available ) Any variety will do . here`s hoping

I think you can often blame the seeds quite correctly ladybird. They are often not stored correctly and are not viable.

I have some inert sterile powder optimistically labeled as "begonias" if that's any help ?
It might make a useful type of Snuff, or perhaps used for glass polishing ? (it's certainly no good for producing flowers).

(it's certainly no good for producing flowers). I gave up trying to grow the "dust" seed roofgardener. One by one the germinating seedlings die off, the rest seem to stay tiny for ever , heartbreaking , especially when you have paid over £3 for the seeds . This year I got a cheap tray of tiny plugs which doubles in number at the potting on stage as there was two or even three seedlings in each plug .

Thanks Rosie and Grindle . And by the way grindle the primula seeds have germinated , they took a while and I dropped the tray so i`ll not know what variety the surviving seedlings are, as a few were "Alba "that Cherry sent me a few years ago .

that's great LB, it will be fun seeing what you have. Mine are now ready to prick out, they are slow, but satisfying when they finally germinate I'll keep an eye on the tiarella for you
