Pics of Jersie taken last week at allotment. Quite a nice compact plant. This is the first bloom open.

What you think Lou78W ? Mine not that long in the stem as of yet. Buds coming fast and now on all four. I hope it will stretch up.

What you think Lou78W looks very tidy form. I have one part open. Been battered by the rain the last three days. Seems to take the weather ok.

Yes, it seems to stand up to the weather very well. It will be a pretty addition to my garden dahlia collection.

Raymond tough luck on the bird poop, I think you will probably fine it was Ian k from the North east sending down his highly trained homing pigeon as he was getting worried about the competition.

Those darn homing pigeons ! Sabotage ! Hehe A half open jersie pounded by rain for the last three days. What I do like seems to have a nice natural angle to the bloom . None clock faced so far .

It's not impressing me yet ian . What I do like is the height of it. Very compact but decent stem length for such a low grower. Seems to take the weather but so far colour does not scream wow or even the form if it does not improve in the bin it goes hehe Eyeing up an old variety for next year for a special class of dahlias raised before 1966 as Kent's 50th anniversary. Looking at klankstad kerkrade and station house has stock but I might do Glorie van heemsted and try a waterlily. The one that the colour is wow is parkland rave a superb vibrant fushia pink. Let's see if flower any good. Just flicking now. I gave one to a friend and hers in flower and I liked it .
