I admit that's how I feel after I've packed away the batch I've just made.... it's just my fondness of the soup persuades me to make it the next time I have a bowl of tomatoes

I've made the soup this afternoon dianthus & we had it for tea with some cheese scones, they were going to be cheese & chive as you suggested but I forgot to put the chives in before cooking so they ended up sprinkled on the soup! To be honest the soup was way too sweet for both of us so I served it with sour cream & chives in it, I think if I make it again I will only need a small spoonful of sugar. It is tasty & a good way to use up all the ripe tomatoes & I enjoyed making it even though I ended up with tomato seeds stuck to my top!

It looks like I need to amend the recipe for future readers.
Thanks for the feedback and the lovely pics, SueA

I wish I had photographed mine now. Mine never made it to the freezer as my son and his partner visited. My son does not like tomato soup, but he really liked this one. I will make it next year again when the big tomatoes become available.

On my mind now. There are tomatoes going cheap everywhere. Jeremy said they. lack the good flavour of the UK ones.
