Talking of ammonites...one of the plants that I am lusting over atm is the aloe polyphylla home.xtra.co.nz/hosts/rainbow/pages/aloe_polyphylla_indexpage.htma perfect spiral...never seen one for sale anywhere...it's rare in it's natural habitat so I doubt I'll ever be able to own one, would be worried about where it came from.

Past glories...I've stumbled along, making lots of mistakes, since I first started gardening (about 11 years ago). Every year there have been a few successes and lots of failures, but the garden is very forgiving... 2008 2008 was the first year I grew vegetables and herbs in raised beds that my OH built 2009 the pride of 2009....after nursing it through 4 winters my echium pininana flowered...magnificent
