Hi moonie, think I read in one of your posts somewhere that you were thinking of trying onions. If so, pop down to any of the garden shops, and get some Sturon sets. they are not for showing although years ago I won with them in the 'Grown from sets' class. They are easy and make a decent onion for cooking. i have just put 40 sets in these trays of compartments and when well rooted will plant out. not doing any show dahlias this year or any show stuff as too much going on here atm, its like a builders site. Show or no show sweetpea I bet the majority of your garden is still beautiful. Do you think that you could do another entry in your blog Sweetpea? Just got my new computer on line 5 minutes ago so if all goes well I will have a go. Just noticed the time on this PC is a bit out so have to sort that and when the dust has settled I will get back to posting.

I think that Glitter has been spending quite a bit of time hiding inside the lighthouse. I think that he is avoiding Scaley. Didn't even come out at dinner time but he certainly was out checking what I was up to when I started moving the toys and the unrooted plants. They both seemed happy to explore. Glitter checking out the bottom and finding all the food that had sunk while Scaley was zipping around the top.

I LOVE the lighthouse. (and ... apparantly.. so does Glitter ) I am very sad to hear about Speedy's demise. Have you considered getting another one ?

I thought that it was Glitter's hidey place where he goes when he wants a spot of 'fishy me time' but actually I think it is something totally less glamorous. I was looking in the tank and checked the Lighthouse but couldn't see Glitter but couldn't. However I did notice that there was what looked like a thin rope hanging down...
Told Pirate go look - cue lots of laughter.

We did some late night shopping to buy some bulbs and I spotted these:
Now everybody else would think: "Cheap Booze" me I think: Plant pot trays for the Greenhouse...
"Er... Mummy... Why are you taking photos of the bottles...?" "Erm, I'm not..." "?" Luckily the only other person that asked me what I was doing was HH, not a Store Detective

*Advance Warning*= at end of post. Probably should have done but I think my Husband would not have been very happy with me at all. Might be an idea to mention it to me Dad... I know he would (and my Mum is used to him doing things like that).
My Dad had his dahlias before they got married so My Mum would have had advance warning of who she was marrying; where as poor HH married me with no such prior knowledge or warning re. dahlias and could never have predicted that I would become a Vegetarian either. He must really Love me then.
I am a Lucky Woman. Luckier than I realize.

Was rubbled today: "Really? Really! Was that what you were taking a photo of... Really?" - HH "Really? Really Mummy? Really... Really!..." - Pirate
Well and truly rumbled. Seriously glad that I had added the slushy stuff.

Here we go, introducing...
Spotty Dotty and Stripy Dieppy (pronounced as 'Dye pee') - as named by the little lady sitting next to me aka Pirate Yellow Wellies. (I am not going to tell you who is who. Pirate agrees with me, let you guess!) Have now been told to type:
"... Hah!"
