well.. YES... daitheplant. Who woulda thunk that Superglue would substitute for joinery ? Jesting apart.. I take your point. Nevertheless I stand by what I said; it is inspirational to see all the different approaches that people use. In a strictly nominal sense, we are all dealing with the same "problem". (getting things to grow). But the range of different strategies and solutions is absolutely FASCINATING. I guess I'm just re-iterating Cat's point in that regard.

Ummm... is this something suitable for this forum ? Or any website operating under UK law ? I am thinking of using something rather than cling film Roofus. Check my post in my "new allotment" thread.

A quick update.... I cobbled together some shelves from dismantled standing units. Also - following from grindle's most excellent useage of two Shoe Racks as greenhouse standing, I've just deployed a spare garden standing unit as a Shoe Rack in my flat ! Thus is the balance of the universe maintained.

..... It survived for so long because it was tied to some bean canes with string and sellotape
String and Sellotape ? A man after my own heart !

I've just found this thread...... and I must commend you all on your brilliant glass houses and cold frames, etc.
I have been very lucky here, as I've had a small conservatory, north-facing, in which I have grown on my seedlings and planted up the tomatoes in pots. I shall miss it very much, as I also put my sun lounger, garden table and four chairs in there, too. I spend more time in there than the lounge.
I shall miss it very much. Will take a photo when it's daylight.
