Last year I tried some 'Bonny Dundee'.....didn't like them much. Very floury, and they seemed to dissolve when boiled!

I've little experience in growing spuds and I'm not sure about my second earlies. They still haven't chitted. OH gave me a bag of King Edwards from the kitchen which are well chitted, should I plant them instead of my second earlies?

Give your second earlies a bit more time, there is no rush to get them in, you can plant them anytime in the next 4 weeks.

Sounds like you are keeping them too warm they need a cool frost free place.

I bought some Epicure last week, also some Mayan Gold to try. I like to try something different every year I have tried Mayan Gold Rosie - I found they needed to be cooked quite carefully or they went to mush quickly
