Still get GN and GA as I got talked into it after unsubscribing but when they run out that will be it as there is not much more I can learn from them so it will just be the occasional snap purchase. Now that the weather is on the mend I wouldn't have time to read any new mag. in fact I've only just came in from getting the spud patch ready.

I have been thinking the same sweetpea . Quite often my garden news dosn`t even get read. I do like the kitchen garden one at the moment, I`m getting it the for a year free using tesco vouchers but after that no more . you could but a few really good books for the cost of some mags .

Received the new magazine Modern Gardens, it has lots of nice ideas - I'm well pleased with it -If it's like that every month then it's money well spent! Have to wait up to 28 days for my free Sophie Conran tray - but I don't mind that! :-))

It's a very pretty white tray with handles ladybird and it's free with the mag - there's a few diy projects, also recycling things and garden accessories - it might be in the shops now to have a look before you buy :-))

This thread is timely for me - thanks daisy (oh, it hasn't tagged you, how does one do that?). Having had a self-imposed garden sabbatical for almost a year now (shudders) I'd stopped buying any magazines. With the move to Cheshire and a garden to work on, I was wondered which magazine to pick up again. I'm a sucker for print I'm also in the 'messy cottage garden' camp

piskie did you enjoy IKEA today - did you spend gazillions? :-)) We spent one and a half hours in there daisy ... Although that included breakfast I bought a 'plant kit' of a tomato and basil plant for £1 ... possible bargain. Wardrobes will be sourced from there once we are safely locked down in the Cheshire bungalow
