At least I know now it's not just me then grindle, it's a shame as it makes a lovely big blue plant in the border.

I thought this one was dead too this year but it's starting to show now - a bit later than usual but it's survived again. We get cold and wet sueA it's the combination of both that see's some of the plants off - I don't think you'll remember the photos I posted from years ago.. 09 or 10 I think, it was on the old site, where the water was half way up the wooden fence and was heading toward the house!

I do like brookside SueA, its a true blue and that Veronica is lovely I also forgot I bought some Campanula from the Secret Garden Club

I've had two gentians, for years, in 10" tubs. They like a well-drained soil, so maybe a base of grit, would help them. They do like the sun, though, so nothing hanging over them.
