are they specifically greenhouse grown steve, or can you grow them outside, sheltered? im looking for more outdoor varieties for next year from seed, as my outdoor 'roma's have done really well, and my greenhouse toms just crowd everything out, so will grow more melons in there instead next year. they look an absolute treat! well done ;D

My Red Alert tomatoes which are outside are ripening faster than those in the greenhouse. I did get blight when I did this three years ago, so I only have one plant outside.

I like the unusual shape of them, makes them more interesting

I've tasted better, the sweetest toms seem to be cherry size but I had them on a pasta salad and they went down well I would say taste is similar to medium size toms like Moneymaker, Shirley etc good but not extra sweet I've always grown Alsia Craig and Gardener's delight but this year I've also tried Crystal and suffice to say I'll be growing just Crystal next year.

I have never heard of Tomato variety Crystal. Is it a cherry tomato? Obviously it is being picked and eaten now, so it is fairly early.

They are F1 from T&M Cherry, excellent disease resistance, the Alsia Craigs alongside have a touch of blight. The fruits are uniform, spotless and have an old fashioned flavour. I've got them in and out of the GH. both are ripe.
