Cleared the old strawberry bed this morning and forked in Growmore. The leeks will be planted in this bed next week. Brought home potatoes, raspberries, beetroot and peas.

What a haul Steve. That red onion looks so shiny. I have not got any tomatoes yet, but they are getting some colour. I did pick a cucumber, lettuce and strawberries.
Tel's cabbage does not show its size. This is ginormous.

dug up some pink firs today [just to see if anything was there!] got a double handful of yummy looking babies for the pot, had them in salty butter with some green beans and a cheese omelette, very tasty ;D harvested my first cucumber ever on monday - it waited till i got back from hols - femspot, absolutely crunchy and delicious. hubby doesnt 'do' cucumber but the chef he is couldnt resist my harvest, and he didnt get the bad burps either, so is converted, but only for mine! oh yes, and had spring onions from lottie too

A fresh home grown cucumber is quite different to the big supermarket ones Bluebell. I am growing the short ones and I just love them.
