You must be allergic to the scent of hyacinths Sue. Perhaps you should be eating the good honey to help it. I think your pics are fabulous, especially the middle one.

Thanks, I wondered where they were because we've usually seen bees before now & we have had a few sunny days already but they must have been just biding their time.

Thanks Lou, I tend to study the little things in the garden as I don't get much wildlife of any size, can't imagine having a muntjac deer creeping up on me like Cherry does, I think I'd drop my camera! ;D

In todays GN there is a report of insecticide manufacturer (Bayer) refuting claims that their products are dangerous to bees and causing the decline in the bee populations. They attribute that to the varroa mite. Maybe I should have posted this in the garden publications thread?
