At last the bees have started appearing in our garden, I was getting worried but yesterday I saw the first bumble bee, a couple of honey bees & a wasp! I managed to take a few photos, they seem to like the hyacinths in a basket which I've put outside because the smell of them is making my eyes sting! ;D

In todays GN there is a report of insecticide manufacturer (Bayer) refuting claims that their products are dangerous to bees and causing the decline in the bee populations.
They attribute that to the varroa mite.
Maybe I should have posted this in the garden publications thread?

I'll get around to it eventually
