Here's the pics. I'd put on, I still think your geranium phaem looks a lot prettier & healthier than mine Eli! You'd asked me about these primulas which I have down by the pond too Eli & whether they have to be there or will grow elsewhere, they're mostly japonica/candelabra types which do prefer damp areas which is why I grow them in what I call the 'soggy end' which gets flooded sometimes & dries out at others so I think they will grow in a border which isn't in direct sun all the time & doesn't dry out completely. This is a lathyrus aureus which was sent to me by daisy on here years ago:- A pretty white aquilegia Geums coming out now Tulips, rose cuttings & rogue Welsh poppy Wisteria over the patio

The Wisteria is looking good Sue, Do you prune it to the book each year shortening the spurs etc? Mine flowered for the first time last year and is flowering now, the scent is amazing isn’t it?

Eli the Ilex with the new leaves coming through made a beautiful photograph. I thought you might have had a cactus flowering at this time. Would that be Miller’s Crimson and Apple Blossom primulas SueA.

Thank you Cherry, I have some buds on my 'Easter' cacti and one Mammillaria has a few small flowers, not worth taking though because they are too small and not all together.
Thanks SueA for the information on the Primulas. I have an area where I could plant the, so I may get some for next year if I can. My Geranium phaeums are unusually big this year, I don't know why. Yours is also pretty though

Love the primulas SueA I used to have the lathyrus but it disappeared, and I've noticed my pink one hasn't appeared this year either

To be honest Cherry I can't remember which the primulas are, I think you're right that some are Miller's Crimson & I've bought 3 more plug plants of those as not many came up last year & I loved them but I'm not sure what the light coloured one is, I may come across the label somewhere in the garden if the blackbirds haven't pulled it out! steve although my wisteria is years old ( I brought it in it's pot from our old house) it only flowered for the first time I think last year like yours & has a better show this year so I haven't really got into pruning it yet. I'd need a step ladder to reach it so have only hacked off the long wispy stems which I can reach when they've started waving around in the air. I'm going to try what Adam Frost recommended about 2-7, 7-2, which was cut it back to 7 buds from the main stems in February & then to 2 buds in July - that's if I remember & can find the ladder!
