so today they arrive to fit the new CH boiler, wouldn't you just know it has to be one of the coldest days of the year We've had to have it replaced as British gas condemmed ours because the flue is corroded and it's so old that it's not replaceable, can't mess with gas, will be nice to have one that's cheaper to run though

it all got fitted in record time, I have to say British gas did a great job, just have to get used to using the remote now

Lucky old you grindle as all my previous dealings with BG have been such that I wouldn't go near them if they paid me. Good to hear of a happy outcome though. We have been trying unsuccessfully so far to get our CH system checked as it needs annual check to ensure the warranty. Not sure if the last lot we got are still in business. Ah well, always something having to be done.

we've had mixed experience with them as far as servicing is concerned sweetpea I guess we struck lucky on the installation of this one

Well done grindle we also dont deal with them, we have a local engineer up the road he's very good he's done lots of work for us

the reason we stuck with them was because we were a Homecare customer and got a very good discount, we had been talking about finishing with it not long before and getting our local man to take over the servicing, it's now got a guarantee so we'll stay with them until it runs out, then probably use someone else cheaper and more reliable
