That looks lovely grindle, cool & calm. The bees were buzzing round the garden in the sun here yesterday & the first butterfly (small tortoiseshell) I've seen this year landed on the pot of mini irises on the table.

I usually lose some as they come up in the borders, I think sometimes it's cutworms who snap them off at the stem but for some reason this year most of them have escaped damage, the ones in this pic. were in a bowl on the ground though surrounded by grit so that may have saved them & I think it's been colder than usual this winter so maybe most of the slugs haven't woken up yet!
