Your garden is coming along nicely SueA, I think the plant you don't know is Thalictrum.

Thanks Eli, I think it probably is thalictrum, the leaves look right for that & I'm sure I planted some years ago.

SueA You have a fabulous selection of plants growing in your garden! I like roses very much, especially the hybrid teas but I have never liked so called "blue" roses! but even so I feel a bit better about your 'Twice in a Blue Moon' rose. You have so much plant life bursting with energy in your garden as well!

Eli I quite like your Rhodoxis, never seen this plant before. How long does it flower for? You have lots of lovely colour in your garden as well!

I know balc2, the so-called 'blue' roses are nowhere near blue in colour but the 3 I've got are pretty anyway & have lovely scent. The 'Twice in a Blue Moon' one is a beautiful hybrid tea with deep green foliage & the flowers are large & change colour & shape as they open, very pretty.

I don't know for how long the Rhodoxis will flower balc2 because it is new this spring ... but I have a similar plant called Rhodohypoxis which flowers up until about August. In fact I think Rhodoxis is a hybrid between this and another plant.

after a week away lots of things are now flowering. just a few. Hesperis matronalis Belfast sink from the lab I worked in, by the back door, planted for shade. 2 Alliums: 1st is A.cristophi, the 2nd is Purple Sensation The common blue Centaurea with a happy bee. Clematis Niobe, the best its been. The first of my daylilies, the early flowering Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus I love iris and this is I.siberica Tropical nights by the base of the pond. So it stays quite damp as there overflow from the pond empty into this bit of the raised bed. I'll add more photos later.
