I remember you doing enormous dishes for the pilots Cherry, I bet some of them came for the food not just the courses! 😊 That lunch looks lovely, I bet your yoga group really appreciated it. It's lovely that you did stories for the young lad's sister geumgrower, I bet she really appreciated that! 😊 |

My main interest apart from gardening is wildlife, mainly birds and wild flowers .I also like football, cricket,snooker and tennis. I used to watch Bolton Wanderers regularly but not any more and I used to play a lot of tennis in my teens and twenties ,a long time ago. Talking about tennis, I entered a junior tournament once. I didn't win a match but what I remember is that I won a game without my opponent touching the ball.

Managed to write 3 new stories over the last week or so. Still need 5 or so more to make a books worth.

My son tried to encourage me yesterday to finish the book I started at least 25 years ago! I thought to myself "If I didn't have an internet connection for at least a year I might get it done!"

That is a long time to have writer's block. Though I did finish a story a few years back that I began over 40 years ago. Did not finish it then as I could not think of an ending. Somewhere I have a notebook with lots of ideas for stories, last time I looked not one of them seemed worth pursuing.

No so much writer's block but the Internet that has occupied lots of my free time during the last 20 odd years! That's why I said I need at least a year without Internet!

Since I started to become a member of different forums I have little time for other activities, aside from gardening! I'm currently a member of 3 gardening forums as well as an admin & mod of at least half a dozen groups on Flickr! (Mostly related to gardening! ) In the past I've made up several webpages, (No, not gardening activities! ), one dedicated to a Belgian singer called Helmut Lotti. (In fact I made one in English & another in Spanish!). I also had my own webpage dedicated to space & its exploration! |

In some ways you are lucky. My problem is that once I get an idea for a story, I have to do something about it or it just goes round and round in my brain, driving me nuts until it is exorcised by writing it.

I had a listen to Helmut Lotti balc2. He has a lovely voice, which crosses all styles, and sings with no gimmicks. Why haven’t I heard of him? |

We were living here in the UK at the time & had to catch the train that went under the Channel! It was a new experience for both of us, though as I said to my wife, who was nervous about going under miles of water, it would be no different from going under the River Thames in the underground! Later she agreed with me!
Her sister who lives in Spain joined us for the concert, though she came by plane. She got to speak to him in Spanish! She only speaks Spanish & a smattering of French from her days at school. I don't know just how much he understood but he sings in many languages, principally German though. He has done many tours in Germany & is extremely popular there!
We have some of his CDs. I even managed to get him to autograph the show schedule with a dedication for the Helmut Lotti Fan Club (in Spanish) which I later posted on the webpage I had created for him on Spanish & in English!
