I scream like a girl when I see one. In my last house, when the Agapanthus died, the roots were like snakes and you could hear me everywhere.

I was searching for the snake yesterday and found a frog with a death wish, it is sitting where the snake gets in and out of the pond. I bet it is not there today ;D

Esther, Cherry, I don't do spiders so I know how you feel. I don't mind spiders as long as they aren't on me, seeing them around the garden or in the house is ok, my pet hate..... Earwigs I am scared of them.

SP We don't believe you. You were praising your OH's drawings on another thread.
I like spiders and never kill them. There does come a time when they have to be put out though. In Australia, children are taught the ones to watch out for and they are not the big ones which wear tackety boots. They are pea size with a red mark on their back. How did I survive in the very, very rural area where I was brought up?

Now for the bad news; My OH has been missing for several days. The police called and told me to prepare for the worst. So I had to go and get her clothes back from the Salvation Army.

We were sat by the pond today when the grass snake swam right past us. I whizzed inside to get the camera and managed a rather blurred shot before it swam off again. They are such graceful creatures.
