Peony that is wonderful. The local TV news programme has been profiling a runner every night. They are dedicated people who do this for very good reasons and it is a long way. Good luck to your son.

Yes good luck and it looks like the weather should be good for the event. I well remember Jimmy Saville oops, SIR JS when he used to do his training at the marine camp in Lympstone Devon. Not sure if he still enters or not.

Chris (son) completed the London Marathon in 3 hours 30 minutes (not too bad for a 46 year old). He had been hoping to beat last year's time which was 3 minutes faster, but I'm proud of him and he has raised over £4000 for St Johns Ambulance ;D

I'd demand the whole bottle not just a glass. Very well done.

Can I ask if Chris is a member of SJA Peony...? Me and hubby had over 40 years service with them before we retired a few years ago. It's a fantastic charity to support...so a big THANKYOU from two ex-St Johners in Cheshire xx

Chris isn't a member but he always runs for them because in his younger days he was a motor cycle grasstracker and the SJA members were always in attendance on race days, and patched him up on a few occasions too ;D He always remembers how good they were when the occasional accident happened.

Awww...that's lovely Peony I've patched up a few motorcyclists in my time....as well as multi-various members of the public, including gardeners who visited the big RHS Shows (some of whom fell over as soon as they'd paid to go in!) It's great to know that our actions are remembered and appreciated. Please do pass on our thanks to Chris xx
