Just to let you know I'm off to kew garden's next Thursday with Wyevale Garden Centre. This year they are doing all sorts of coach trips to different garden's. We get breakfast before we leave then a stop on the way home all included in the price. I've never been before so it will be an experience,I'm going with my best friend. ;D

Our Wyevale does the coach trips too, but I'm going to Kew in June with a group from U3A, so I'll be interested to hear your comments Lesley. Last time I went was 20 years ago!

Now that is one thing I am missing out on because I live in the country. We have no Wyevale near us, just farm shops which sell plants and a small garden centre which looks more like an ironmongers.
What a good idea and I hope you have a wonderful time Lesley.

Oooohhh lucky you Les! I've always wanted to visit Kew, so hope you remember your camera and take some pics to show us? My eldest Gosling has moved to London this year, to work at St George's Hopital...he's living in a flat not too far from Kew...so just maybe I'll pay him a visit soon

I still remember the good old days when you paid 2d in old money to go in through the turnstiles. used to take the kids there when I lived locally. They always seemed to enjoy it. particularly the sticky buns and tea at the outdoor restaurant where the sparrows sat on your table and nicked all the crumbs. If any of your group is a member they can sign in guests which can make it a cheaper day out.
