I was going to say ideal weather for making a start in it too, but it is actually too hot today for planting out!

hello everyone, have just been to have another assessment at the lottie, spoke to another lottie-lady and she says all the new tenants get offered to have their plot rotavated by the council if they want, so this will make a huge difference to me getting started! going to see them tomorrow to organise it

went to the lottie to dig up the horseradish, strawberries, and a couple of big rhubarb crowns to save in a soil filled bucket keeping moist till the council have rotavated the plot for me. also managed to get quite a few 'clods' of the beautiful heartsease that is smothered all over the previous potato patch. they say it should be in the next couple of days, so when its done i'm on it like a demon! my mum-in-laws' next door neighbours are selling their house, and have offered up a huge amount of mature blackcurrant bushes and raspberry canes, along with more rhubarb. you can never have too much rhubarb in my opinion! and also its another old variety as the neighbours parents had the house for years before them. i have drawn out a planting plan, and i will get yous a picture once i work out how to post it. i will also move my thread to a new one in the appropriate section! thanks for all your positive comments guys, really means alot :Dx
