I have been hearing a cuckoo for three weeks now. I only hear it in the afternoon, I don't know why. Is that when you switch your hearing aid on? You cheeky so and so! Although sometimes I think I could do with one. I hear the cuckoo sometimes at 0500 now. I think it is a different one near the front of the house. It calls at any time. |

Just got back from having a few days hill walking in the Lake District. The cuckoo was calling all day, every day non-stop! When he stopped in the evenings the owls started hooting! Add to this the sheep bleating and cattle mooing it has been a very noisy holiday lol! Very enjoyable though  Sounds idyllic to me cowslip, all my favourite sounds. It's an unfogettable climb, did it years ago. |
