Did you see the older man on the News? He won't give up, that's for sure.

I think going by the guests since this thread started we have had some Bots that picked up on the title and been tracking too

I don't fully understand it myself but since the thread started we were showing up to around 20 guests looking in most of the time, looking at the IP addresses of these guests showed 18 of them to be the same, looking up the IP address to see where it originates came back with Google bots...which I assume is an automatic (not human) computer prog that searches the net and picked up on the name in the title of this thread and something clicked with it If anyone knows more about this please post but I assume it is how some orgs gather info which may be say certain groups discussing terror and so keep an eye or ear on them, once it was realised we are just a gardening group it dropped off www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en-GB&answer=70897&rd=1Or I may just be paranoid ;D

Very interesting. This is just after my husband laughed that I could think one of Bin Laden's supporters might be taking note of a gardening forum being against his philosophy.

the US have amazing powers on the internet, and any information can be traced, your IP number does a good job in tracking you. Some US sites are very wary about what they talk about in forums, as they never know when the security services will come knocking on their door. So much for a free society

Actually, because you are right Grindle, and every time that name is mentioned or other words to do with the subject, an alarm goes off somewhere and can be traced. No mention of this episode in our history has been mentioned by text or i-phone (or whatever it is called) to my son who is practically on the Pakistan/India border working for his Aberdeen firm.

I've got a friend who is into pyrotechnics (making fire works), he was telling me (via email) about a show he would be doing at the weekend. His wording was along the lines of "this weekend we have got some serious explosives and are going to light up Brighton". This email took 3 hours to reach me, all emails between us were delayed for a while over the next couple of days.
They are tracking everything.

That has to be a good thing, even though it feels a bit like 'Big Brother' - I'd prefer to be safe!

Elton John was asked to sing a song for the wake of Osama bin Laden. Once again he modified the words of Candle in the Wind – to Sandals in the Bin !

That uses exactly one of the words which would be flagged up.
