Not without seeing more foliage, i can tell some by the differing shape of their leaves. I hope someone else can tell you more

Wow I didn't know there were so many varieties, looks like they're Cornflowers basically. Some lovely blue ones, I've a mind to sprinkle a pkt.

Thats a very pretty one Les....All I can suggest is that you googe Centaurea.....and see what images come up

Could be Centaurea montana 'Rosea' - but yes, it would be helpful to see the leaves, Les.

I agree with peony in that the flower looks like C. dealbata. I have this and the flowers will pop soon though if thats a leaf in the image, its not dealbata! C. dealbata has a distinctive pinnate leaf.

No, definitely not my thug, Louise. He's a deeper colour - really magenta, and his flowers are 'denser', not so spread out.
