Try a Des O'connor record Geranium ;D Good thinking! ;D Do let me know if the trap works - what are you supposed to do with the bird if you catch it - or do I not want to know? What I do with the magpie is somewhat academic, the only thing I've trapped so far is my finger

Ouch! Here's my Des O' Connor record - strung up on strings with other useless old CDs (free with the Sunday paper). Lucky I kept them! I made a sort of 'maze' with canes and string, and hung CDs at intervals. It worked today, we think. No rooks pecking the lawn, anyway. ;D

Sp - is that an answer for my problem? If I put food out for the rooks, would they stop pecking holes? as i don't have rooks in my garden I couldn't possibly say but if you had your food put out on a plate every day would you go hunting?
