Says its lime tolerant at the bottom, i read some were late last night neutral/acid. So would it be best in Ericaceous or is multi purpose fine?

Most bits i have read this morning are saying either garden soil or multi purpose, but they don't like it too rich.

would it be a good idea to mix the composts for it? i googled the plant name and Ericaceous and some sites were saying to use it for them .

Are we talking about your new Ceanothus, floydie? Mine's in neutral soil. You're not putting it in a pot, are you? They do get quite big, so in the garden would be better.

Then ordinary multi-purpose (NOT from B&Q!!) would be fine.

Ceanothus grow fine in ordinary soil and it can go straight in Floydie. Don't bother with a pot.
At the moment I am using Levington Multi-Purpose with added John Innes and it looks like being one of the best I have used. It is just a cheap one from the garden centre. Don't get mixed up with Levington Multi-Purpose, although it is OK.

I have been using Durston's MP for a few months and am impressed.
