As the roses are now beginning to bloom, I thought we might separate them from the 'Flowers & Foliage' thread. Here are the ones in flower in my garden. Rosa 'Rhapsody in Blue' Rosa 'Paul's Scarlet' Unknown cream climbing rose. Another unknown climbing rose on the side fence. Rosa 'Albertine' which is on the front of the house. I love this one - but I inherited it, and I haven't a clue what it is. Rosa 'Blue for You' One of the two roses trained as standards. The other one - which is bigger. My new one this year - 'Darcey Bussell'. Rosa 'Lady Hillingdon' (climber) Rosa 'Handel' (climber) Rosa 'Dublin Bay' (climber)

They're gorgeous Geranium, I had one called 'Swan Lake' that looked like No 6.

Thaks, Merlin - was yours a shrub rose? This one is a large bush, with clusters of flowers, and it flowers again later in the season after I cut it back. I'd love to know its name.

I'll have to ask one of the Mods for help - I'd forgotten that we already have a 'Rose' thread on the site. Should I post my roses on the original thread and get rid of this one?

It must have been quite a lot of work putting these pictures of your beautiful roses on here Geranium, so keep it going.

Then the other thread can be about growing them in all aspects - pruning, feeding, cuttings - whatever.

Possibly not the same rose, then. Pity - I'd like to ID it.

Following Merlin's suggestion, here are some photos of the beautiful anonymous shrub rose. I'm hoping that someone may be able to give me a name. This is the whole shrub. It's about 8' wide by 4'deep and 6' high. A cluster of buds. Tighter buds. The foliage - it's quite shiny. A reminder of the rose. It starts pink, but when it's fully open, it's paler, with gold stamens. Not a large flower. This rose flowers twice. I cut off the clusters, and it flowers again in late August/September. Any ideas, anyone , please?
