shade gardening is I have to say my favourite way to garden, I've got plenty of sunny areas now and still can't get the planting right

Plants that grow in shade are far better behaved, plants that like the sun seem to have a life of their own, the moment you turn your back they either take over, disappear or double their height for no apparent reason.

Shade gardening is very much my favourite style. I love the ferns and primulas, hostas and all the beautiful plants which prefer this situation.

Mine are fine, because some have not made it out of their pot yet. One is Vyvyan Pennell and it seems to have a single flower as well as mostly doubles.
