After 5 years of restoration work the restored Flying Scotsman, will be unveiled at York Railway Museum tonight, i wonder how much it will cost to travel on this famous engine between York and Scarborough this summer.

My 10 year old grandson loves trains Tel and went on the Tornado last year with his Dad and OH. He's hoping to go on the Flying Scotsman, if he can persuade 'Grandad' to 'cough up' the fares

I've probably been on this one as when a schoolboy trainspotter we usually managed to get on all the trains/engines that came into the sheds at Polmadie in Glasgow. Wouldn't be allowed nowadays,,,,,'elf & safety I believe this one was built at Doncaster

When I was a child, we lived not far from the main line railway, and I remember dashing down the hill to see the Flying Scotsman going through.
