Hope you are ok Cherry and have no reaction from the sting. I thought it would be next month before the wasps turned nasty, or are they early?

I just took the dogs out down the drive a stray wasp chased me. I am still in white pyjamas and I wonder if the colour is a bad one for them. I don't normally have this bother. The local radio station has been doing a light hearted programme on wasps and most people said stand still, which is what I thought, but the best answer was to give a small child a jam sandwich.

Poor Cherry! Did you put vinegar on it? I always remember ' Winegar for wasps' and 'Bicarb for bees'. A bit smelly, but it goes work!

I hope your face is o.k Cherry I had a little giggle about the jam sandwich ;D I hate wasps We had to have someone from the council to get rid of a nest under the eaves of the dining-room roof last week -£58.00 it cost and took the man about 2 minutes to spray whatever it was in to the nest - £58.00

Ouch Cherry, I hope it doesn't effect you badly. The OH killed one of our wasp nests just before our open day, it was right beside a path, they didn't bother me but I could see his point. The badger ate the other two. There are a few odd ones hanging around but they don't seem to be aggressive. My sister and her family have just left

That sounds painful Cherry, hope you don't have a reaction. I'm allergic to stings and bites and have to take anti-histamine tablets.

Thanks for all the sympathy. I has turned out that I deserve it because I have three wasp stings in my cheek and they are making my teeth ache and hurting my eye. The doctor sent a cortisone cream as husband was picking up pills anyway. It is 12 years since my last wasp sting. That was unforgettable because the horrid thing got into bed with me and bit me on the breast when I was asleep.

The mole man charges £15.00, but he did the first nest for nothing. I sprayed the second nest in the compost heap myself, but this one was a huge and dangerous one in the ground so I called the mole man. He came within an hour and charged £15.00, which I was willing to pay.

It's lucky you have someone who can deal with the nests quickly and at a really good price.
