It is, but i think i shall put this one in the flower garden , there is a very weedy cherry tree there just now and it needs to come out. But then again, i would also like a Katsura tree....

I raided the garden today for foliage and made 11 small table decorations for our Garden Club coffee morning tomorrow, which we hold so members can come and pay their annual subscription. We had 127 members last year so we're hoping they all renew and that we might get a few new people as well.

Peony they look great and what a nice idea to have a coffee morning so people can pay their dues. That is a big club with that many members. You must be able to afford some good speakers.

Thank you everyone We had a good turnout for the coffee morning, although slightly down on last year, but some folk don't renew until our first evening meeting in February. Grindle, we have lots of small tables to encourage people to chat to other members ;D Cherry, we pay anything from £50-£100 for speakers (+ travelling expenses) and we try for a good variety of subjects. We find them mainly from the RHS list, but some we would like to have are either too far away (the travel expense would be more than the fee) or are too expensive. Gernaium, the Committee members liked them, they each took one home ;D

Nice table decorations Peony. Has for the cost of your speakers, you definitely could not afford to hire me then for a talk on dahlias. It would cost your Garden Club a bottle of beer and a pkt of pork scratchings. ;D
