I went into town today to attend our farmers coop meeting, and on the way back home I had to take a detour as there was a funeral procession. I passed by an abandoned spanish-era type of home that had large gnarled frangipani trees. From the road I can see a big splash of dark red and bright orange flowers as well as the usual whites and pinks. If I had been younger and more athletic I say I would have scaled the fence to get cuttings as no one seems to know who owns the place and there was no caretaker or anything that I could ask if I could take cuttings of the plants in there.

I put all the lights off and woke Barry up .A few minutes later a policeman knocked on the door and told us we had to leave the house immediately. Our Son lives just up the road so we were allowed to go there - the other neighbours were taken to the village hall.
