Something Steve said about his colour thing on his allotment reminded me of how un-informed I am about fashion. Last thursday I saw a girl wearing bright blue slacks and bright orange shoes. I said to my mate Yuk, but I have to admire a youngster for 'doing her own thing and not just following the crowd' No doubt you Ladies will know what's coming next but for you lads, Pen told me that they're all doing it, it's in fashion ;D

One lad in the pub last night had white trousers on and huge white trainers with the bottoms of the trousers tucked in to them....looked like a negative of Max Wall!

That is bang up-to-date Merlin and I am quite happy to see some colour coming into fashion.

That is bang up-to-date Merlin and I am quite happy to see some colour coming into fashion. I was just disappointed that she was following the crowd, I like individualism. Steve, I wouldn't have thought you would remember Max! but I get the picture. Quite ridiculous, not like 'teddy boys' ;D

I guess every generation has its fashion, I won't admit to half the stuff I wore as a teenager, and we all think we're the best thing since sliced bread ;D

It's not fair, why is it only teenagers that can do it? Maybe we should start our own and see if it catches on, any ideas? According to OH the only person I've 'followed' was 'Compo'

Colour is in fashion in clothing, house furnishing and gardening - long may it continue

I'm not in fashion at all, i set my own trends and always have done so, every now and then i may buy something that the crowd is wearing but i make it my own style. Saying that most days I'm found in skinny jeans, woolen Grey boots and a tshirt/vest . I also wear too much eye make up (mostly thick black eye liner) and bright blue huge 15MM contact lenses ;D. I'm an oddity and proud to be so.

Good for you Floydie. You are a thoroughly modern Millie. I look like a gardener most days, but look the part when I have to.

I look a scruffy ossity when i'm in the house and garden but when i'm 'out' i'm quite presentable. I don't ever follow fashion and like to look individual, i think it's good to be different too.
As for colour though, i love colourful clothes but a plain house !

Most days i do too, but when i get chance i love to play around with make up its fun to see how it changes the way you look, i tend to go in between Anime eyes (big lots of eye liner as above the huge contacts etc, I think i scare/shock some people but who cares) or dark vampy eyes (again lots of black eye liner and eye shadow but no contacts). I don't want to copy the crowd and i don't want people to copy me. I love Michelle Phan's make up guides and do take some ideas from her (but again change it to suit me ). My eyes reflect what ever i am wearing also . (As i said an oddity)

I might get some of those jeans where the crutch hangs down to the knees and they come half way down your backside! ...well it will give me somewhere to put the trowel!
